MLA to present Jack Ratcliffe with Diamond Jubilee Medal
Columbia River – Revelstoke MLA Norm Macdonald will be presenting a Diamond Jubilee Medal to City of Kimberley Councillor Jack Ratcliffe in recognition of his 27 years of service on Kimberley City Council.
The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, November 26 at 7 p.m. in Kimberley Council Chambers.
Macdonald will be joining with Mayor Ron McRae and members of council to present this prestigious award.
The Diamond Jubilee Medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. This commemorative medal will be presented to 60,000 deserving Canadians to celebrate significant contributions and achievements and to recognize those who have dedicated themselves to service to their fellow citizens, their community and their country.
The public is invited to attend the awards ceremony.
