Ghostriders climb to third in KIJHL Power Rankings
The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) completed its 11th week of regular season action for the 2024-25 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlight the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide positioning.
The Revelstoke Grizzlies keep the top spot after another winning weekend. They defeated the Princeton Posse 3-2 and the Kimberley Dynamiters 3-2 in overtime. The Grizzlies are currently on a six-game winning streak.
The Grand Forks Border Bruins kept their number two spot after winning their lone game of the weekend against the Beaver Valley Nitehawks 4-1.
The Fernie Ghostriders climbed from number five to three after winning their home-and-home set with the Golden Rockets 3-2 in overtime and 2-1.
A pair of weekend wins helped the Quesnel River Rush crack the top-five for the first time – 6-5 in overtime over the Williams Lake Mustangs and 5-1 against the Chase Heat. They have won three of their last four games.
The Sicamous Eagles crack the top-five for the first time thanks to a six-game winning streak. The Eagles defeated the Dynamiters 6-3 and the Posse 4-1 over the weekend.
