Summer in the East Kootenay 2025

Summer isn’t quite the same when you spend it waiting anxiously and eagerly for life to slow down and normalize.

Such is the life of nomads waiting for a home to be built. However, we managed to snag a few distracting moments while on the move through the region to play with our cameras.

The summer of 2025 was better for all in terms of fewer wildfires and less smoke choking our fresh East Kootenay air.

The following collection of images traces the steps we made across the region last summer, with some pleasant surprises along the way.

Images in this collection were taken in/near: Cranbrook; Baynes Lake; Toby Creek drainage/Panorama Mountain Resort; Invermere; Marysville; aqam; and Waldo Cove.
