Margaret “Peggy” Goodman
June 2, 1928 – April 21, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce that Peggy Goodman passed away peacefully April 21, 2026 in Cranbrook, BC. She was 97 years old.
Peggy was the daughter of William and Kathleen Bird and grew up alongside her sister Pat and brother Ken. She was predeceased by her parents , her brother Ken Bird, her daughter Donna Leigh Goodman, her niece Margaret Anne Richardson, and her nephew Robert Ennis.
She is lovingly remembered by her surviving family: her children Lori Adams (Paul), Doug Goodman (Jen), Richard Goodman, and Anniel Fehr (John); her grandchildren Kirstie, Kevin, Farran and Michael; and her great grandchildren Tarek and Fern.
Peggy lived a long and fulfilling life. She was a dedicated volunteer with the Girl Guides and loved assisting seniors with shopping and dancing. For over four decades, she was an active member of a sewing group where she made cherished friends. Peggy loved to crochet and filled our homes with many of her ceramic creations. Peggy had a great sense of humor and was happiest when she was making people laugh.
She will be deeply missed.
Our family would like to thank the staff of the Rocky Mountain Care Village, the Joseph Creek Care Village and especially the staff of the F.W. Green Home for the special care they gave Mom in her last months. We will always be grateful.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
