Kimberley chamber hosts meet and greet at Bear’s
The Kimberley Chamber of Commerce held another Voices of Kimberley meet and greet Thursday, Sept. 15 at Bear’s Eatery.
About 20 chamber members and businesses attended the friendly gathering at the Archibald Street eatery, which features fresh made food from scratch and wall décor consisting of record LP jackets.
Janet Johnson (JJ) pictured with fellow co-owner Barry Pearce (aka Bear) have a record collection consisting of 1,000 LPs, which she uses to change up the décor on a regular basis.
“I think I even have enough albums to do a Christmas theme,” she said, adding that the walls of the eatery were covered with “Canadian music” during Canada Day, July 1.
Several new businesses were highlighted during the two hour gathering and some town news was shared, including by City of Kimberley Coun. Paddy Weston (pictured) who announced that the city had finalized its new sign bylaw, noting it was designed from input by the business community and will not cost business owners any more money.
Also pictured is city chief administrative officer Al Mulholland with Healing Touch owner and chamber director Jenny Beatty.
