Fare and service change coming for Kimberley transit

Kimberley BC Transit riders, a fare and service change is beginning June 29.

Single rides will increase from $3 to $3.50, and a 10-ride ticket book will increase to $31.50.

This is the first single ride fare change since 2010.

A new monthly pass is being introduced at $80, available for all routes including Route 21 Kimberley/Cranbrook, Route 22 KC Commuter and Route 24 Kimberley Local. (Purchase at Kimberley City Hall. Note: this pass is not valid on Cranbrook transit.)

  • Route 22 KC Commuter is getting two new trips, one in the morning and one in the evening.
  • Route 21 Kimberley/Cranbrook will move to two round trips per weekday, with on-request service to St. Eugene Mission. Book one business day ahead by phone.
  • Route 24 Kimberley Local will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Route 23 Peak to Platzl will remain free during the winter months.
