Wildfire risk-reduction work resumes around Dawson Place
As part of the District of Elkford’s ongoing FireSmart and wildfire mitigation initiatives, fuel management activities in the Dawson Place area are resuming.
Residents may see crews working throughout the treatment area over the coming weeks.
Planned work includes:
Vegetation and debris reduction;
Wood chipping and fuel removal;
Burning of approved piles when restrictions and conditions permit.
These proactive measures help strengthen community resilience and reduce the potential impacts of wildfire.
