Advance poll added for October 27

City of Cranbrook voters who may be away on November 19 during the municipal election have another shot at casting their vote before leaving.

An addition advance poll has been announced for Thursday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  at the Parkview Pavilion Senior Citizens’ Centre.

This advance poll leads off the voting process, with two other advance polls scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 9 and Wednesday, Nov. 16, all at the Parkview centre.

The City’s website (www.cranbrook.ca) will be updated to this information by the end of the Thursday.  Information about voting by mail is also on the website.

Voting on November 19 (general voting day) will be done at Laurie Middle School’s gymnasium, at 1808, 2nd St. South.

There will also be special voting opportunities for qualified electors who are admitted patients or facility residents at the following locations on Friday, Nov. 18 (times yet to be specified by the Chief Election Officer): East Kootenay Regional Hospital, Dr.F.W.Green Memorial Home, Scott Villa, Mountain View Village and Joseph Creek Village.
