Radium all-candidates’ forum set for Nov. 2
The Rotary Club of Radium Hot Springs announced today (Oct. 25) that it is hosting an all-candidates meeting at the Radium Seniors Centre on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The purpose of the event is “to enable the residents of Radium Hot Springs to meet with the six candidates for four positions of councillor for Radium Hot Springs,” Rotary stated in a release.
Candidates will have time to outline their ideas about Radium and there will be time for questions and discussion between the candidates and the audience.
“Might even be coffee and cookies,” the release concluded.
The six candidates running for council are long-time councillor Ron Verboom, along with fellow incumbents Don Devilin and Clara Reinhardt. Deborah Fischer, Karen Larsen and Todd Logan are also running.
There is no election for mayor as incumbent Dee Conklin returns for a second term unchallenged (acclaimed).
