On Saturday, October 5, John Herdman, Head Coach of the London 2012 bronze medal winning Canadian Women’s Soccer Team and Karina LeBlanc, London 2012 bronze medallist, will host a free soccer clinic for local youth aged 9-14 years in Sparwood.

Herdman and Maple Ridge resident LeBlanc will run the clinic in collaboration with local volunteer soccer coaches.

The clinic, sponsored by Teck, is aimed to encourage active living, skill development and teamwork.

It begins at 9 a.m., with a special meet and greet with John and Karina at 10 a.m. at the Sparwood Recreation Centre Soccer Field, 367 Pine Avenue.
