Cookies, breads, cakes and pies = $500 for A Clear View

Photo Details L-R:  Members of the Edgewater/Radium Health Care Auxiliary (Wilma Verhelst, Trish Hassett, Phyllis Jackson, President Gertie Friesen, Barb Nerreson, Inez Stark, Betty Wood, Dorothy Brown, Marc Hodson, and Joan Shelstrom) took time before the doors opened for their annual Halloween Tea to pose behind the delectable bake table.

The Edgewater/Radium Health Care Auxiliary holds two annual bake sales one in the spring and the latter around Halloween.  The $500 from the sale of those delicious baked items was recently given to East Kootenay Foundation for Health in support of the A Clear View – digital mammography campaign.

“I was so fortunate to be able to attend the Halloween Tea and to purchase some of the homemade items supplied by members of the Edgewater/Radium Health Care Auxiliary. This group is amazing for as small as it is and the age factor, their dedication to helping the Invermere and regional hospital is so appreciated.  It is an honour just working with them,” stated Donna Grainger, EKFH executive director.

As of October 31, the two-year $1 million fundraising campaign to bring a digital stereotactic mammography unit to the regional hospital has been blessed with donations totalling $538,440.   EKFH encourages you to Be a Part of the Picture… have A Clear View and consider making a donation, visit us at www.aclearview.ca.
