Lovers of choral music were in heaven Saturday at the Alliance Church in Cranbrook.

The Bisset Singers and director Chuck Bisset hosted the 2014 International Choir Festival April 12, with three choirs from Washington and three from B.C., along with the East Kootenay Schools Children’s Choir.

Joining the festival and Bisset Singers was a Mass Choir, East Kootenay Schools Children’s Choir, Naramata Community Choir, Camerata Club, Leaveworth Village Voices, Wenatchee Valley Appleaires, Wenatchee Apollo Club and the Trail Harmony Choir.

Two performances were held on Saturday enjoyed by appreciative audiences. However, the Children’s Choir stole the show reported concert-goer Gail Brown.
