Salvage yard burning at Marysville
Kimberley Fire Department is currently fighting a large fire at the Columbia Salvage scrap yard in Marysville.
About 9:30 a.m. a fire broke out at the salvage yard, sending a massive column of black smoke soaring into the sky over Kimberley.
Due to variety of scrap metals in the large heap that is burning, firefighters are asking the public downwind of the fire to close their windows. They are also asking the public to stay away from the scene as the wind continues to shift.
