Golden’s Willhorse makes MBCIA and K96 top five
K96-3 Kelowna’s Classic Rock and the Music BC Industry Association (MBCIA) are excited to announce the Top 5 Artists of the 2014 K96-3 Emerging Artist Program – Jordan Dean, Raquel Cole, Immaculate, Paperboy and Golden’s Willhorse, will be showcasing their talent at the Keloha Arts and Music Festival July 13 as part of the live performance adjudication component of the program.
Alongside their showcase opportunity at Keloha Arts and Music Festival, the top five have also been awarded $1,000 each to record a unreleased original song, will attend a day long intensive music business workshop, and produce a final report on how they see their careers progressing. The top-performing artist in these categories will be awarded the top prize including $4,000 in cash, gear, and a showcase slot at Music BC’s showcase at Rifflandia Festival in Victoria.
The K96-‐3 Emerging Artist Program is an artist development program designed for BC’s interior region. Funded by the Canadian Content Development contribution of K96-‐3 FM and Newcap Radio, Music BC is proud to continue the development of a program to educate, inspire and support five emerging musical artists, with over $10,000 in cash and prizes.
