Open house at College of the Rockies Feb. 9
College of the Rockies (COTR) is hosting an open house for prospective students on Thursday, Feb. 9.
COTR staff will be available to help guide you through the post-secondary education process for College of the Rockies, or any other institution, on a drop-in basis from 4 to 6 p.m. in the cafeteria at the Cranbrook Campus.
Find out how to apply for a student loan, ways to finance your education or apply for a scholarship or award from the Financial Aid and Awards Officer. Talk to an Education Advisor about course selection, prerequisites and university transfer options. The Aboriginal Education Coordinator and Disability and Learning Support Coordinator will be on hand to answer your questions as well.
Discover what it’s like to live in the dorms from the Residence Supervisor or chat with the Career and Employment Officer about what the career and employment opportunities are in the field of your choice. Extra-curricular and fun stuff will be covered by the Athletics and Campus Life staff.
There will be representatives from all program areas available to answer your questions on career choices as well as program information to help put you on the right path. The Admissions and Registration staff can help you fill out an application form for the September semester and will waive the $30 application fee if you apply during the open house. In addition, you can enter the draw for a $250 tuition award.
The information available will be of interest to Grade 11 and 12 students, parents, current and prospective post-secondary students, employees, employers and people of all ages wanting more information about upgrading and career path opportunities.
The college’s professional, helpful and friendly staff has one goal in mind, student success, and can guide you through the post-secondary education process on Thursday, February 9 from 4 – 6 pm. Light refreshments will be available.
