Grant aids in installation of outdoor gym equipment
The members of the Senior Citizens Club of Fernie and District are pleased to announce that, in conjunction with the City of Fernie, they have been successful in receiving a grant from the Government of Canada New Horizons for Seniors Grant Program in the amount of $22,529.
Outdoor gym equipment has been purchased with this grant and installed at the Fernie Aquatic Centre for the use of all members of the public.
The Senior Citizens Club of Fernie and District would also like to thank Fernie Ready Mix for the donation of cement to install this equipment and Fernie Garden Centre for the donation of the trees.
Feel free to use this equipment at any time but please use it safely.
A dedication ceremony to be held Monday, September 29, at 1 p.m. at the Aquatic Centre grounds.
