Invermere Fire-Rescue today (Feb. 20) battled a fire at Wilmer’s renowned heritage site – the Delphine Lodge – at about noon.

Fire fighters poured water on the roof of the 113-year-old former lodge where it appeared the fire was centred. The cause and extent of the fire, which was neatly tamped down by the IFR, has not yet been divulged.

This is the second small fire to hit the old wooden lodge in the last 10 years.
