Rockies keep Pond Hockey alive
The Columbia Valley Rockies hosted the fourth annual Columbia Valley Rockies Pond Hockey Championships in Invermere last weekend.

All the proceeds from the event will go toward the purchase of a new team and community bus.
After the championships, all participants were invited to a reception at the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena and given tickets for the home game, Rockies versus Kimberley Dynamiters.
Playing hockey on backyard rinks, frozen ponds and lakes is how most of us started playing Canada’s game. The Pond Hockey event continues this tradition with a focus on creating a beautiful fresh air venue, and a fun outdoor tournament that remind us of why we started playing in the first place – for the pure joy of the game!
