Emergency exercise being held in Kimberley
The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) wants the public to know not to panic.
The RDEK’s Central Emergency Program will be holding an emergency exercise on Wednesday, April 11, between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the City of Kimberley.
This will involve a spring flooding scenario and is part of our routine testing of the RDEK’s Emergency Response Plans. The exercise will involve emergency program personnel and residents may see search and rescue volunteers and Ministry of Environment staff in and around Mark Creek during the exercise.
If you see activity in and around these areas on April 11, it is part of our routine emergency exercise, the region is noting to the public
