City hall takes a stand against bullying
On February 25, all of Canada was encouraged to wear something pink to show that we are all working together to prevent bullying in our schools, in our communities and online. City of Cranbrook city hall employees did their part, too, donning pink apparel for the day.
The Pink Shirt Day idea originated with two Nova Scotia high school students who decided to take a stand against bullying in their own school. Schools, businesses and the public at large shared their stand and showed support for the movement against bullying with the display of the color pink all around our communities.
