Grand Slam of Curling tickets available April 15

Cranbrook will curling central this upcoming November when Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling plays out Nov. 8-13.

Tickets for the event, to be held at Western Financial Place, go on sale April 15.

Some event organizers gathered at Western Financial Place April 7 to stage a ceremonial opening to ticket sales (pictured).

Cranbrook will be the second stop on the Tour Challenge, which opens in Okotoks, Atla., featuring two tiers of action with 60 teams in total.

The Tour Challenge field features a total of 30 men’s and 30 women’s teams split into two tiers with 15 teams participating in each tier. These tiers are then split into three pools of five teams each for round-robin play.

Grand Slam Curling CranbrookCranbrook last hosted a major curling event in 2011 when the Canada Cup of Curling came to town.

The arrival of the tour is being heralded by city and business leaders as a great opportunity for wide exposure of the city and region.
