Beatrice Stevens was born to Moses Michel and Rose Michel (Birdstone). He greatest joy was watching her grandchildren dance at powwows. Where she watched with immense pride. Beatrice was known for her wonderful sense of humour, bringing laughter and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Beatrice’s kindness was rooted in the example set by her parents, who always welcomed anyone in need into their home – a tradition of generosity and compassion that she carried forward throughout her own life.

She will be remembered for her love, kindness, and joy she shared with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

She was predeceased by Moses Michel, Rose Michel (Birdstone), Julie Capilo (Michel), Anastasia Michel (Stevens), Patrick Michel, Harvey Stanley, Jake White, Leo Coutoure, spouse Lazarus Stevens, son Quanah Nicholas, granddaughter Autumn Nicholas, and Seth Stevens.

Beatrice is survived by her children Marlene, Sheryl, Sonya, Keith, Candice, and Victoria, grandchildren Matthew, Stevens, Shelena Stevens, Kassandra Stevens, Sara Stevens, Ashley Stevens, Wally Thierder Awasis, Austin Skaar, Hayley Skaar, Misti Awasis, Wapastim Awasis, Raven Awasis, Julis Stevens, Alex Stevens, Andre Stevens, and Corey Stevens.

A Wake for Beatrice will be held on Sunday June 28, 2026 at 5:00pm at the Akisqnuk Band Hall, with a Funeral Service on Monday June 29, 2026 at 10am. Following the service Beatrice will be interred at the Akisqnuk Cemetery.
