Helen Elizabeth Biafore
Helen was born in Coleman Alberta to the proud parents of Mary and Thomas Siska on May 10, 1927. She grew up in in Coleman with her parents and two brothers Fred and Edward.
At age 16 she moved to Calgary to attend Garbets Business school and graduated early with her secretary certificate. She returned to Coleman and shortly after and met Louis Biafore.
In 1946 Helen married Louis and moved to Blairmore, together they built their home to raise their family. They had two children, Carmen (Judy) and Linda (Jack).
Together they ran a successful business âLouisâ Coffee Shopâ from 1960 â 1969. Helen then worked for the town of Blairmore as a secretary until she retired.
In 1988 they moved to Cranbrook. Helen was involved in her community in both the Crowsnest Pass and Cranbrook and was honored with a life member of the hospital auxiliary. She cherished her time with family, she loved music, dancing, cooking, baking, and gardening.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, her two brothers, her husband Louis, her son Carmen and great-grand daughter Jacey Uphill.
Helen will be loving missed and remembered by her loving daughter Linda (Jack) Hummel, daughter-in-law Judy. Her grandchildren Chad, Shonalie, Lisa (Mike) Toth, Carly, Jacob (Cheryl) Hummel, along with 12 grandchildren Reeve, Landyn, Crimson, Beckham, Joseph, Lucca, Leonardo, Rozanna, Carter, Chloe, Jacob and Caitlyn, and numerous extended family and friends.
Helenâs family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff at Josephâs Creek Village for the excellent care they provided.
A celebration of Helenâs life will be held at later date.
