Janice Edwards ‘Fire and Snow’ at The Art Station
Discover the world of colour at the hand of Janice Edwards.
Janice is no stranger to the Fernie arts scene. She has been involved in numerous group exhibits at The Arts Station and, including her latest ‘Fire and Snow,’ she has graced the gallery with three solo shows. Add in the recent recognition she has received for her photography and the multitude of pieces displayed at the Fernie Arts Co-op, you wouldn’t think Janice would have a second of time to spare!
As hectic as her schedule may be, Janice managed to fit in a week-long workshop last year. The workshop reinforced her excitement for abstracts and colour fields, which was instrumental in generating this show.
Fire and Snow is a show about contrasts – textures, shapes and, most of all, colours. It’s about the juxtaposition of colour to generate exciting effects.
Come and immerse yourself in the stimulating effects of her paintings – sure to bring a spark to the winter air! Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available on opening night, Thursday, Feb. 24, so make a night of it! Support one of Fernie’s favourite local artists, Janice Edwards.
The reception begins at 7 p.m.
The exhibit continues until Tuesday, March 27.
