Annex Park in Fernie transformed the past Friday afternoon for two days (August 9/10) into a music festival venue. About 1,500 concert-goers were treated to the best lineup in Canadian Indie music, along with a colourful vendor village and a children’s activity centre during the third annual Wapiti Music Festival.

The CBC Stage was rocked with Canadian performers and bands stretching from Victoria to Montreal Quebec.  Current Swell, Plants and Animals and Delhi 2 Dublin were just some of the top shelf bands everyone is buzzing about.

Wapiti is not possible without its long list of sponsors: CBC, Teck Coal and Columbia Basin Trust, as well with the City of Fernie deserving a big ‘thank you.’

By all accounts Wapiti 2013 was a tremendous success. Thank you to all that supported and attended.

Wapiti 2014 will be held August 8 and 9.
