The benefits of this feature are many, said Northstar GM Dealer Principal Derek Spring.
“Last week, unfortunately, one of our customers was in an accident here in town and the OnStar automatic crash response came on within seconds. The OnStar advisor asked the customer if she needed emergency services, she said yes and they took care of it immediately,” he related.
After her accident the customer told him that the confidence she has in her vehicle and OnStar is even greater after the accident, Spring said.

It’s all part of your OnStar service, no additional cost,” he said, explaining, General Motors vehicles in the 2015 lines offer the benefits of OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics and Dealer Maintenance Notification for up to five years.
Hands-Free calling
Eyes on the road, hands on the wheel—OnStar Hands-Free Calling keeps you connected, even when your cell phone can’t. It’s built-in and designed for better connections and fewer dropped calls. Even in places where handheld cell phones are banned while driving—OnStar enables you to call hands-free.
