October is United Way Month
The goal for the United Way of Cranbrook and Kimberley 2011 campaign is $100,000. To date the campaign is at 30% of goal, your donation is needed. Big or small every donation moves us closer to achieving our goal, which means many community services and programs will continue to function, keeping our communities strong. Every dollar raised here, stays here!
How does supporting the United Way of Cranbrook and Kimberley build a stronger community?
1. Your dollars stay here. Donations to the United Way are invested into local services and programs. One in three residents will depend on United Way-funded services this year – that person could be you, a family member, a friend or a neighbour.
2. Community priorities are addressed. United way regularly analyzes the needs of the community, and through that a social safety net is put in place, ensuring needed services are available to the most vulnerable in our society: children, seniors, the handicapped and the less fortunate.
3. Money goes where it’s need the most. United Way allocates donations raised in the most efficient way possible – in fact; we have one of the highest ratios of actual donation distribution among non-profit organizations. Our comprehensive process ensures accountability to the community and that money is well spent.
