STILL HERE RECOVERY COACH TRAINING
IS COMING TO CRANBROOK – JULY 13-17, 2026
EHN Canada is proud to host another Still Here Recovery Coach Training session, this
time in beautiful Cranbrook with some of our team from EHN Edgewood Rockies.
In-person training makes all the difference, and Still Here has held to that standard from
the beginning. Find connection, learning and growth in community. Network with other
like-minded people who are pursuing this new approach in addiction recovery.
RECOVERY COACHING AS THE MISSING LINK
Recovery Coaching is a growing profession in Canada. It’s different from an addiction
counsellor, 12-step sponsor, or other roles in the recovery field. This role can legitimize
and professionalize your own lived experience of addiction recovery, or even as an ally.
This doesn’t replace other roles; we take a ‘both/and’ approach. Recovery Coaching can
be that missing link for people to access support both pre- and post-treatment — or in
some cases, instead of treatment.
THE STILL HERE DIFFERENCE
When Still Here held its first training in January 2020, right before the pandemic, they had
to consider whether online training might work. They found out quickly that it didn’t. They
couldn’t deny how transformative it was compared to sitting in front of a computer
screen, and decided as a company to hold on to that in-person experience to maintain
quality. The decision to come to Cranbrook as part of a community training in
collaboration with EHN Canada serves the broader vision of Still Here, and they are proud
to be a part of the emerging awareness of the value of post-treatment care.
HOW THEY DO IT
Still Here’s overarching goal is the ongoing training and mentoring of excellent recovery
coaches. They have now adopted a hybrid approach that starts with the in-person, 5-day,
40-hour training. Motivational and inspiring, this is rich in learning, connection, laughter
and tears.
Following this, participants can begin Still Here’s Recovery Coach Essentials and
Recovery Coach Mastery©, an online, 10-week training held once a week for 1 hour, with
weekly home assignments and practice. Supported by an online forum to post questions
and reflections with others in your cohort of learners.
They also offer an Ethical Considerations course, 2 days, live online, 16 hours. Become
fully engaged as you discuss some tough ethical questions.
CERTIFICATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS
This course will also be the entry point to four different pathways to become a
professional recovery coach.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AT THE TRAINING
WHAT OTHERS
ARE SAYING
“Taking the Recovery Coaching program through Still Here, and the subsequent Recovery Coaching Mentorship Program, has proven to be one of the best decisions of my life. The courses have helped me gain the confidence and skills to support people in recovery, and studying empathy and mindfulness, and working on things like active listening, have also helped me become a stronger parent, partner, and friend. You really can’t go wrong, and White Rock, B.C., is a beautiful place for learning and reflection. Thank you to Kevin and Shelley for
creating such a safe and nurturing environment. The world needs more recovery coaches, and this is the best training out there.”
~Jen McNeely in a Google review
“The 5-day fundamentals course with Still Here was quite the experience. It was fulfilling and challenging, with an intrigue that brought the big picture of Recovery Coaching into clear view for me. I am both excited and encouraged by the skills and techniques I learned, and I have discovered things about myself that have left me in deep, genuine reflection since I left. With Kevin and Shelley as instructors, combined with the landscape of White Rock and the speed at which the material was taught, it seemed to provide the perfect fertile soil for me to learn and grow.” ~Rich Sloan in a Google review
