Park on Us nears goal
This year’s Park On Us Campaign has a goal of 300 sold parking meters and we are three quarters of the way there!
Our thanks go out to the businesses and organizations that support this campaign as it would not be a success without this support. A complete participant listing will be posted at the United Way office during the month of September. Watch for our red sandwich board.
On Lucky Friday, September 13, the day starts off with free parking from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Cranbrook.
At the United Way office at 930 Baker Street morning coffee and snacks will be out all morning and the grill will fire up at 11:30 a.m. for the M&M Barbecue serving hamburgers until 2 p.m.
This year we are adding a silent auction with current donated items valuing over $2,400 retail. Again, business support has been great, with donations ranging in value from $20 to $300, with something for everyone. The radio station will be on site and entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon.
It will be a great way to end the second week of September and we are hoping you will join us.
Please mark your calendar for Friday, Sept. 13.
Our new exterior building signs will be installed prior to the event aiding to our visual presence on Baker Street.
