RCMP collar suspects in dramatic takedown
A manhunt that began last night in the Wycliffe area, west of Highway 95, took a dramatic turn earlier this afternoon when Cranbrook RCMP officers swooped in on the Husky Station on the strip and captured two suspects.
A male and a woman, who apparently wanted to take a shower at the Husky Station, were arrested after RCMP, with the help of a BC Conservation Officer, collared them following a tip. As the arrest went down, with the two suspects fleeing out back, a police helicopter circled overhead.
Police have been looking for the suspects involved in vehicle thefts. Roadblocks were established last night and this morning at the Wycliffe Rodeo grounds/Six Mile Road area.
At time of publishing a third suspect remains at large as police continue their manhunt.
Cranbrook RCMP has been utilizing its Twitter account to keep people updated on this manhunt.
