The proceeds from the Turkey Run-Off Snowshoe event in Kimberley will be donated to Kootenay Cycle Works following last night’s fire in the Platzl, which destroyed the business.

“We were very sorry to hear about tonight’s fire on the Platzl. To help support those affected all proceeds from the Turkey Run-off Snowshoe event will be donated to Kootenay Cycle Works,” said Jim Webster of the Kootenay Orienteering Club.

To participate or to just make a donation, you can drop by the Lois Creek Trail Street entrance between 11 a.m. and noon today (Saturday, Dec. 29).

“Trevor, Patrick and all.. we are thinking about you,” Webster concluded.
