The little mountain town of Edgewater invites you to the 15th annual Steamboat Mountain Music Festival – an affordable, family-friendly, outdoor celebration named in honour of the mountain that is our beloved local landmark.
The festival is all set for the weekend of July 3-4-5.
On Friday, July 3 the festivities begin with five sequential Porch Parties at various locations around town. Each party will feature a different local performer.
The first of the parties will be at the Edgewater Par 3 Golf Course at 4 p.m., where Invermere artist Nathan Pascua will kick off the series of parties.

From there, participants will be directed to the other locations around Edgewater, where porches will present Combo Akimbo, The Prospectres, Versus the World, and Team Rockitt The final gathering will wrap with an acoustic jam circle. Everyone is invited to bring their instruments and join in the joy of the jam.
Saturday, July 4 will be packed with non-stop music from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., followed by a dance party in the Community Hall featuring the popular Golden band The Hot Tubbin’Men. The Main Stage line-up this year includes some renowned guest performers, as well as Columbia Valley artists.
The Bix Mix Boys, all the way from Edmonton, are one of Canada’s hottest bluegrass bands. Their exceptional musicianship combined with an entertaining stage show, wins the hearts of audiences far and wide.
The BOOM BOOMS (right) are a wildly popular Vancouver band. They draw their inspiration from folk, reggae, rock, latin, highlife, soul, funk and pop. Their groove is upbeat, uplifting, with a lot of heart and good vibes that have won them a devoted audience all over Canada.
Chase the Bear (left) is a high-energy, six-piece rock band also hailing from Vancouver. Known for their infectious, and hook-laden songs, the group delivers the kind of live energy that has captivated audiences across Canada.
The Combiners (right) come to us from Calgary. This quartet of seasoned musicians combine their original songwriting and smooth vocal harmonies with the rhythms of their guitars in an easy- folky-country-rootsy-bluesy style — a sure cure for troubled times.
The Intended (left) was invited to play Steamboat last summer, but they were upstaged by a sudden storm and power outage. They’re a seven-piece R&B band with a dynamic horn section driving the sound. They come to us from Cranbrook.
The Jumping Rodents (below) are a fresh, original, high-energy six-piece funk group, born in a shop in the woods in Parson.

Antonio LaRosa (left) is a country rock artist based in Vancouver. He’s built a reputation for his soulful, electric live shows, where blistering guitar work and vulnerable lyricism meet.
Shades of Blue (below) is a home-grown Columbia Valley band. The name of their group is derived from the title of the first song they learned together. They love to play their favourite blues-based tunes old and new.
The festival’s Tweener Stage will feature short sets between Main Stage acts by local emerging artists Emma Miller, Slone Leman, Fandango, Tasey Sandboe, and the renowned seasoned artist Val Hudson.
A-Muse Troupe is a cirque-improv collective from Golden dedicated to the positive power of play. They and their amazing puppets, engage kids with costume and spectacle. They’ll be pranking and parading around the festival grounds, looking for – and creating – fun!
On Sunday, July 5, starting at 11 a.m., the festival will present a non-denominational Bluegrass Gospel Gathering at Edgewater All Saints Church, followed by a workshop on country guitar pickin’ by beloved homeboy Marty Beingessner.
A Drum Circle with Columbia Valley percussionist Pat Carrickat at the Hall to wrap up the day.
