Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) Electoral Area F Director Susan Clovechok announced this afternoon (Sept. 1) she is seeking re-election on October 17.

“After 26 years in this valley, representing you these past eight years has been the honour of my life and I’m asking for the chance to continue because the work isn’t finished and neither am I,” Clovechok stated on social media.

“Since 2018 we’ve tackled real problems together: a community facing catastrophic debris flow risk, an airport on life support, water systems that needed advocating for, grants that needed securing. That’s what showing up looks like.

“This fall you’ll have a choice. I’ll be in your community. I’ll listen. I’ll deliver. Vote Saturday, October 17.”
