Highway 93 re-opened through Kootenay Park

UPDATE: Highway 93 is now open. Drivers are to expect compact snow from Radium Hot Springs to British Columbia and Alberta border.

DriveBC reports that Highway 93 through Kootenay National Park is now closed due to winter driving conditions.

The highway is closed from the Alberta border to Radium Hot Springs because of winter conditions.

There is a detour via Highway 1 and Highway 95 at Golden but be advised that the Trans-Canada Highway is also experiencing winter driving conditions as well.
