IHCA provides $50,000 Starlite gift for MRI

East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) is thrilled to announce an astounding Starlite gift of $50,000 from the Invermere Health Care Auxiliary (IHCA) to the MRI: An Image of Health Campaign.

The exceptional gift comes from the amazing dedication of the volunteers operating the Invermere Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Shop.

“We are thrilled to be able to provide this donation for the MRI. It is because of the dedication of our outstanding group of volunteers and awesome customers that we are able to make this gift to bring the much needed permanent MRI to the East Kootenay,” explained IHCA President Wendi Ede.

The Invermere Health Care Auxiliary has made such an amazing impact on improving healthcare in Columbia Valley and the entire East Kootenay.

“We are thrilled to have the support of the Invermere Health Care Auxiliary for the MRI. It is always amazing to see the difference an incredible group of volunteers can have to improve healthcare. The Invermere Health Care Auxiliary has been an amazing partner in improving health care for all residents of the East Kootenay and this gift is just another example to their amazing legacy of improving healthcare for all,” said Cassandra Schwarz, Executive Director EKFH.

To light a large star is $5000 and a small star is $2,500. All donations of every size make a huge difference and will accumulate to light a “community star” to help us reach our goal.

The Invermere Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Shop is located at 1231-7th Avenue, Invermere. It is open Thursday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Friday & Saturday 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (winter hours), Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (summer hours).
