Windermere Fire Haunted House to be biggest ever

Members of the Windermere Fire Department are once again hard at work preparing props for their annual Haunted House and they have some exciting new tricks in store.

“As we continue to try to offer up a frighteningly fun experience for all ages, this year we will have two separate timeframes for the open house,” explained Columbia Valley Rural Fire and Rescue Service Chief, Jim Miller. “We will open the Haunted House for the youngest trick or treaters from 5 to 6:30 pm. The full-scare experience for older ages will run from 7 to 9 p.m.”

Firefighters will be on hand to guide people and they are looking forward to the event.

“It’s so rewarding to be able to plan and participate in such a fun event. It helps us give back to the community and be part of a special tradition in the valley,” added Miller.

There is no charge to attend; however, they will be taking donations for the food bank at the door.

The Haunted House will be held at the Windermere Fire Hall on October 31. All ages are welcome.
