Cranbrook RCMP warn about credit card scammer
Cranbrook RCMP today warned Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce about a person pretending to make purchases with a credit card.
“There has been a person in town who has been to several businesses and gained expensive items using a credit card. He is manually entering the credit card number (pretending to put the card in). He has already hit several businesses in town,” said Cst Katie Forgeron of Cranbrook RCMP.
“We just want businesses to be aware of this guy. I believe a local business has already put this information as well as a photo on Facebook,” she added.
