With a generation donation from the Friends of the Cranbrook Public Library, the Cranbrook Public Library has new tote bag for our patrons that use the library Homebound Service!

CPL Homebound service is available to anyone in the community who is physically unable to visit the library. The service can be used short term or long term.  This program assures that items are available to everyone in our community.

‘It’s a great way for the elderly, disabled or temporarily injured people to be able to continue to get items from the library like books, audio books, magazines or movies and shows on DVD’s,” says Homebound Coordinator Deborah Downie.

“It’s a big job to tote the items in and out of homes so this donation from the Friends of the Cranbrook Public Library ensures that everything runs smoothly!”

Once a month a volunteer will select items based on our Homebound Patron’s preferences and deliver items to their home. A month later a staff member returns to their home and picks up and returns the material from the prior month.
