Learn how to Break Through to Yes
Join local author, volunteer and businessperson David B. Savage, as he speaks on the 10 Essential Steps to Collaboration and invites an open conversation about how we will better work together in the Kootenays.
According to Kirkus Reviews, David’s recently released 2016 book; ‘Break through to Yes: Unlocking the Possible within a Culture of Collaboration’ thoroughly examines the power of successful collaborations.
Canadian collaboration expert Savage offers a work that couldn’t be timelier. While it addresses organizational collaboration, this book could be interpreted more broadly as a treatise on building a cooperative culture within families, groups, businesses, and government.
Savage was among the avant-garde to realize that the traditional hierarchy of business leadership, so heavily entrenched in corporate cultures across the globe, was becoming more and more unsustainable. He studied the complex challenges that the nations, communities, organizations and families of the world are facing and the daunting potential risks that these challenges present, and realized that a top-down approach to solution creation would no longer be adequate.
With over 40 years of experience, including the oil, renewables, indigenous, health care, conflict management and other industries, David brings unique and refreshing perspectives to unlock possibilities and innovation. Consider the collective wisdom that is possible from a circle of diverse perspectives and interests coming together to listen, understand, speak, generate and co-create breakthrough solutions.
David will be speaking at the Manual Training Centre, beside the Cranbrook Public Library on Tuesday, April 19 from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
