RBC Foundation delivers $15,000 for MRI

East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) is thrilled to announce the lighting of three large stars atop the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

The RBC Foundation has brought us one large step closer to a permanent MRI with a Starlite Campaign gift of $15,000.

“At RBC we believe in the power of communities and the individuals who live in them.   We are thrilled to be able to make this contribution to the MRI to improve healthcare for all the communities throughout the East Kootenay,” said Christy Dobi, RBC Branch Manager for Cranbrook.

Health is a significant priority for RBC and they allocate about one-quarter of their annual donations budget to health and wellness organizations around the world that have a benefit to community, and have a direct impact on its employees and clients.

The RBC Foundation has been an amazing supporter of health care in the East Kootenay. Since 2003 the RBC Foundation has contributed over $195,000 towards improving health care for all residents of the East Kootenay.

“We are thrilled to have the continued support of the RBC Foundation to improve our local healthcare. Their amazing generosity for the MRI is truly inspirational. The MRI is the last piece to make the East Kootenay Regional Hospital a truly regional hospital and the RBC Foundation’s generosity has played a large role in bringing regional healthcare to the East Kootenay,” said Cassandra Schwarz, executive director EKFH.

To light a large star is $5,000 and a small star is $2,500. All donations of every size make a huge difference and will accumulate to light a ‘community star’ to help us reach our goal.

To make your holiday starlite gift to the MRI please contact the EKFH office at 1-877-489-6481 or donate online at ekfh.ca.
