Repaving and reconstruction projects begin prep

The City of Cranbrook’s paving projects, as part of the overall 2022 capital works program, is set to get under way on Wednesday, May 25.

The city’s contractor – BA Blacktop – will be starting pavement milling operations on 12th Street North and Willowbrook Drive Wednesday afternoon. Milling work will then shift to Slater Road and Larch Drive on Thursday, May 26.

Once all areas to be paved are milled, these areas will be resurfaced with new asphalt in the next two weeks.

It is important for public safety and the safety of our contractor and their staff that you please slow down in these areas.

Flaggers and signage will be in place along with construction speed zone signs, which must be obeyed.

Every effort will be made to complete this work as quickly as possible to minimize the disruption to residents.

Coming up on Friday, May 27, removal of asphalt in the phase two area of Mount Royal reconstruction project will begin. Residents are asked to please follow the direction of the onsite crews and flagging staff.
