The Rockies Rowing Club is planning an epic fundraiser – the first ever Ergathon this Saturday.

This event takes place at Cranbrook’s Tamarack Centre on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Club members will together row 100,000 metres on two ergometers (pictured above) in a head-to-head relay. Each erg will be set to 50,000 m, which will be rowed by rotating teams of rowers, as slow or fast as they would like!

The club is holding the fundraiser with the hopes of raising $5,000 for equipment such as sculling oars, sweep oars, team uniforms and regatta and travel fees.
