Columbia River-Revelstoke MLA Doug Clovechok says it is time for B.C to step up and support Avalanche Canada (Av Can) with sustainable and reliable funding.

Avalanche Canada is a national organization that services the entire country; however, their funding sources are challenged right now.

Clovechok raised these concerns in the Legislature today, saying concrete funding commitments have never been more crucial as more people explore the outdoors during the pandemic.

The BC Liberal MLA was chastised following his video statement by House Deputy Speaker Spencer Chandra Hebert (NDP) for “targeting a single member” of the legislature in his critical remarks.
