Nitros and Cats game five tonight at Civic Centre

The Kimberley Dynamiters can advance to the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) Eddie Mountain Division finals with a game five victory over the Creston Valley Thunder Cats this evening at the Civic Centre (game time is 7 p.m.).

If a game six is necessary it is Friday, March 6 at Creston’s Johnny Bucyk Arena and game seven is set for Saturday, March 7 back in Kimberley.

The Columbia Valley Rockies are waiting for the victor of Nitros and Cats, completing the sweep of the Fernie Ghostriders March 3 at Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena in Invermere with a 4-0 shutdown performance.

The schedule for the Eddie Mountain Division finals has yet to be released. Based on the Nitros finishing first overall in the KIJHL, the first two games will be played at the Civic Centre should they outlast the Thunder Cats. If the Cats overcome the Nitros, the first two games would be in Invermere.
