RDEK giving $130k to KEYSA facility

Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) board of directors Jan. 5 unanimously agreed to provide $130,000 toward the Kootenay East Youth Soccer Associationā€™s (KEYSA) indoor sports facility project.

KEYSA is proposing to build an indoor sports facility and is currently fundraising. The total project is estimated at a value of $1.7 million, excluding land.

RDEK board chair and Electoral Area C Director Rob Gay said the regional government support is arriving early enough for KEYSA to seek matching grants and other support.
