SD5 Board Notes
The following is a summary of board motions carried during the March 10 School District No. 5 (SD5), Southeast Kootenay Board of Education meeting.
Motions Carried
General:
That the budget request from Jaffray Elementary Secondary School (JESS) be forwarded to the Budget committee for consideration.
That, at the in-camera meeting, the Board gave consent for –and carried—three readings of the (minor) Capital Bylaw No. 2020/21-CPSD05-01 in the amount of $1,507,903 on March 10.
That the Board writes a joint media release with the Key City Theatre Society (KCTS) regarding the minor Capital funding for upgrades to the Key City Theatre.
That the Board approves the Elk Valley Bussing Review Terms of Reference (T0R), as amended.
That the Board approves the use of up to $1,500 from Chair Frank Lento’s professional development funds to provide professional development for students.
