Troupe piles on miles to bring show to region

The troupe will be piling on about 20,000 kms, making 33 stops across Canada.

A non-profit Dutch touring company – Sgt. Wilson’s Army Show – is bringing ‘Music at the Hangar’ to the region for two shows Nov. 15 and 24 at the Royal Canadian Legions in Cranbrook and Invermere.

The show takes you back to the romantic, nostalgic time of the 1940s and ‘50s with a vintage theatre music production that is a complete airforce show in the hangar!

Remember Glenn Miller, the swing of the Andrews Sisters, Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney, Frankie Lane, and many others.

Sgt. Wilson’s Army Show is a non-profit professional music theatre organization that plays for non-profit organizations.

The troupe brings its truck, scenery, sound, light equipment and special effects all the way from the Netherlands. Imagine the scenery of an old hangar with an old plane!

They work with modern Digital Sound equipment and professional LED lighting systems and beamer projection.

The Cranbrook show is Nov. 15 and the Invermere show is Nov. 24. Check your local legion for more details on the show.
