A time to keep wildlife wild and communities safe

With springtime upon us, we must now shift focus to realizing our wild neighbours, such as bears, are once again out and about and they are hungry.

WildSafeBC Elk Valley is once again working to educate residents and keep communities and wildlife safe.

In one of its first web posts of the season, WildSafe stated: “Thank you for keeping garbage indoors and inaccessible to wildlife between collection days and cleaning up anything else that might attract wildlife to your property.”

And they offered the following advice on springtime attractants for bruins.
