This morning (Thursday, July 2), the District of Elkford is advising residents and visitors that there is currently a bear in Boivin Creek Peace Park downtown.

Please stay extra vigilant in the area and take appropriate precautions. Keep a respectful distance from wildlife, keep dogs leashed and under control, make noise to advertise your presence and never try to approach.
