BC Hydro has informed the District of Elkford about a pair of upcoming planned outages for Elkford on July 7 and 9.

BC Hydro is carrying out a maintenance project at the Elkford Substation this month, and it will require two planned overnight outages to customers in Elkford.

All customers in Elkford and those south on Highway 43, to Intata Road, will be affected.

Planned outage dates and times:

• July 7 from midnight to 8 a.m.;
• July 9 from midnight to 5 a.m.

All customers affected by this outage have been notified in advance via postcard (mail), email and auto-dialer recorded phone message sent to the contact information that BC Hydro has on file. Industrial and commercial customers have also been contacted by BC Hydro.
